Malayalam church captions, read in English.

Your achen preaches in Malayalam. The second generation, the visitors and the livestream read along in English, in real time — and on Monday the sermon comes back as a summary, a discussion guide and a recap written in Malayalam.

Why generic captioning fails here

A speech system trained on the internet has never heard your parish.

These are real errors from real services — what a generic system produces, and what a congregation should actually be reading.

None of these are exotic words. They are the ordinary furniture of a Malayalam service, and they are exactly what a system built on American podcasts has never encountered.

The vocabulary

Four traditions, and the words each of them uses.

Malayalam-speaking congregations are not one thing. A CSI parish, a Mar Thoma one, an Orthodox or Syro-Malabar parish and a Pentecostal assembly share a language and very little vocabulary.

CSI

A Synod, never a senate. Dioceses with a Diocesan Council, a Constitution and Bylaws. Sthree Jana Sakhyam, Sunday School with a Superintendent, SCF, Youth Fellowship. Hymns from Jnana Keerthanam; lyrics from Kristeeya Geetham.

Mar Thoma

Led by a Metropolitan, addressed as Thirumeni. A Bhadrasanam rather than a diocese. Sevika Sanghom and Yuvajana Sakhyam. The Maramon Convention. Hymns from Kristheeya Keerthanangal.

Orthodox & Syro-Malabar

Koodaasha, Valiyapally, Achen, Qurbana. Liturgical vocabulary that a general-purpose model has essentially never seen written down, let alone spoken in a Kerala accent.

Pentecostal

A Pastor and a local assembly rather than a parish and a vicar. Sisters' Fellowship, Youth Fellowship, convention meetings. Plainer structure, and its own set of names.

Your parish adds its own: the places your members live, the programmes you run, the families whose names get read out. Those go in once and are remembered every Sunday after.

Monday

The recap, written in Malayalam.

For the members who read Malayalam more comfortably than English. It is written fresh in Malayalam from the sermon itself — not a machine translation of the English summary — so it reads like something a person wrote.

What we will not claim

Automatic translation is not perfect, and a Malayalam sermon is a hard case: fast speech, long compound words, English and Malayalam in the same sentence, and proper nouns no model has been trained on.

What we do promise is that you are not stuck with its mistakes. Every line is checked in context before it reaches a screen, anything still wrong can be corrected in one tap on every display at once — including from a helper's phone in the pew — and the fix is remembered for every service after.

See it on your own service.

Book a free demo before you decide — no card, no commitment. We will run it on your own service audio, with your parish's names already in front of it.
